Multiple Instances of Java

Do any of you end up with multiple instances of Java running, and sometimes sucking up a horrific amount of memory?

I'm not sure if it's because the applet is a bit glitchy at the moment, but I'm getting two and three instances running sometimes. I think they're probably caused by reloads of the game and failures of the earlier run to shut down. Is this a problem with:

a) My computer
b) Java
c) Apterous
d) A combination of the above
e) Something else

?

I wasn't aware that the applet is a bit glitchy at the moment.

I've sometimes had more than one Java icon thing on the bottom right bar thing. Is that what we're talking about?

It might be fine now, it was acting up earlier this evening, nothing major though. It failed to report a game of mine (90-10 v The Guardian), although the star is now complete I think, and lag was bad for a bit.

Yep - I've seen those (in Task Manager) taking up 160,000k of memory, which implies to me that they're busy trying to do something and failing.

EDIT: Actually, that game was reported :)
