Series 19 confirmation of order of conundrums

Any recaps from older series should be posted here. This forum is unlikely to contain spoilers, but recaps may contain "forward references" if they are written much later, so approach with caution.

Series 19 confirmation of order of conundrums

Post by szodiac »

Series 19 Final

Mike Brown's recap of the final is missing the order of the two conundrums!

They are:

L U T I N E B E L

and

I P I T Y C L U B

To be fair, I probably have, but may have only considered it as circumstantial evidence! And 'bah' to you too!

Mike, since Mauro apparently only reads your posts, could you possibly ask him to use the recap writer? Otherwise all these recaps will never be on the wiki or apterous, and they're full of errors, which makes them a bit pointless.

He's probably reading this thread, but if not, I'll mail him and see if we can sort it out!

Yep, I've looked at the recappper.

It doesn't do what I want it to do and also did not recognise me as an official user. Therefore I can't use it.

If my recaps can't be utilised then I'll stop wasting my time recapping the old episodes I come across.

I wouldn't say you were wasting your time Mauro, but we could get far more out of your efforts if you did use the recapper, at no extra cost to you. What doesn't it do for you? Not sure if it's relevant, but are you aware that it allows you to edit its output after you've finished? And I'm sure Charlie will happily add you as a user if you want to use it!

This confusion is now sorted out. Mauro does most of his work offline, only logging in when he needs to submit stuff. If you think back, this is the way we all used to work on the Internet originally, when you had to pay for your dial-up by the number of minutes you were online.

As you have to be online to use the recapper, this is why it didn't work for him first of all. He is now trying again, and will get back to you when he's done so.

Kudos to James Robinson, who has been quietly adapting some of these one Mauro had already posted before he got the recapper working, to the recapper and Wiki. Great work, James.

Thanks, Derek. Anything to help out this fantastic game show.

I believe that countdowngoofs will be having some more old shows uploaded soon, so there'll be more historical recaps from me before Christmas.

Thanks James and Dez,

Yes, I can deal with the recapper now... and can generate a text version.

To update the wiki version I still require authorisation though.

That's the diplomatic answer, I suppose. ;)
