Well, Brian has departed, for a few weeks anyway. So that means no more world exclusives from the Honiton Herald, we hope.

Two newbies in the chairs. Having said that, based on recent form, we'll probably be looking at another new octochamp in the making pretty soon.

Still undecided on Jane Moore in DC. :? Anyone else have an opinion :?:

She grows on you - but only slowly. I like that she seems to be honest and does pull her punches when she feels strongly about some dickhead.

I think she's sound..... to the point of being impressed by some of her stuff but, she writes for the Sun doesn't she? So I'm only getting her telly output.

I was feeling pleased with myself for getting COUSIN until Rachel peed on my bonfire.

((9 + 4) x 10) + 5. Simple but needed brackets so you win, Felipo

'So close', Jeff? For getting to 750 with 3 numbers and then saying you've gone wrong?

I got DICENTRA, INTEGRAND, and PLANISH in the round where you got INHAULS. I also got ISLESMAN in one of the rounds. DC must have been doing a pretty slack job if i could get 4 beaters.

The two contestants both seemed to be struggling with nerves today, which is a shame because it really looked like they weren't enjoying themselves as a result.

Ah right, so everyone is still recovering from Lesleys singing whilst the current episodes were being recorded, I understand now :P

Nah - can't warm to Jane Moore at all. Her anecdotes are dreadfully uninteresting for someone who's had such a long career in journalism.

I think we've become so used to seeing all you extremely clever young people that two 'ordinary' blokes seemed pretty poor by comparison. I'm sure I'd make a tit of myself if I were to go on again now.

I really can't believe the guy went wrong from 135.

Seen it now. 4OD bailing me out amazingly. Wednesday's episode wasn't there when I did my recap, so I had to keep going in and out of the lounge, just to type all the information out.

GOITRED in round 1.

2nd numbers: (50 - 5) x 3

EDIT: Nice to see someone from Huddersfield win! ;) :) :D

Yes! That's the first comment I made about him.

Cool. I've put it in the Countdown Lookalikes topic, which Sue just kindly pointed out to me. ;)
