Why is it that colinear is rejected as a word (http://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?ga ... 1#r1724571) but colinearity is in lexplorer?

Colinearity is just in the dictionary by itself as a noun, "colinear" isn't listed. It's something to do with DNA apparently. There's collinear/collinearity but that's unrelated.

Also a statistical concept where two variables may appear to be be related but aren't. Or is that confounding?

EDIT: I was thinking of multicollinearity.
