September Daily Duels

Not sure why there wasn't a thread for the July and August Daily Duels, but here goes for September. :)

Have I broken a record for the largest daily drop in ranking?

4th out of 61 on the 7th September, then 48th out of 62 on the 8th September!

I was in exceptional form for me in the first one, and in the second one, I was tired and rushing to get it finished before midnight as my connection kept going, even totally blobbing a few.

IIRC 4th might be the best I've ever achieved. 8-)

I think I may well have come last the day after a win, or a similar disaster!

Brings you back down to earth with a bump, doesn't it?
C'est la vie! ;)

The duel is a marathon not a sprint and is generally won by anyone who is sad enough to play every day.

Who's got sand in their fanny today?

Could it have anything to do with last nights football?

Well, Jim Bentley and I were the only ones to 'go all the way' last month. ;)

And it was fantastic, baby! You were insatiable. Duel was pretty good too.

Thanks - it was good for me, too.
We'll have to see if we can manage it this month. :)

Woo, my first win in ages (since about March, I think)! I only risked UNDERPLOT because I'd fucked up the first conundrum, too, usually missing a conundrum totally blows your chances of winning a Duel, so it was caution to the winds time at that point.

I feel really chuffed to have reached the dizzy heights of equal 2nd place with 6 out of 8 maxes in yesterday's duel. It's a shame I didn't go for SPRAYDECK instead of the DECKSPRAY I declared for the conundrum. I really would have had bragging rights then.

Alas, I'm back to my usual standard on today's duel.

Bollocksed up a numbers declaration yesterday. The extra ten points would have given me a 4th place: one of my best results for a while. Annoying.
