I also have the Collins and was self-congratulating on ALIMENTAL (pooh). Yesterday it had SWATTER - it never ceases to amaze me how two similarly sized dictionaries can diverge so much.

By my calculations, to beat 925 you need to average 112 in the last 4 shows. That's very doable and I'm starting to quake. Here's hoping you have some shit letters and no more nines.

I just managed to beat Andrew yesterday, but I was completely out of hus league today, although I did get PITHEAD and he didn't, so a little bit of joy there.

Two more alternatives to the first numbers game:

9 + 6 = 15

15 - 4 = 11

11 x 10 = 110

110 + 1 = 111

and

50 x 4 = 200

9 x 10 = 90

200 - 90 = 110

110 + 1 = 111
