Carol vs Susie

Post by Thomas Wood »

Does anyone think that Carol snaps at Susie in this clip:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOu3FP2ijh4

It's at 6 seconds into the video. Seems a bit bitchy.

Ah yes, this is my good friend Dave Langer being told by Carol that he looks like Ron Weasley. Not his finest hour.

Don't think Carol was really snapping at Susie.

I think Carol was just so caught up in her story she wanted to tell that she didn't realize Susie was still speaking. Carol's quite a gregarious person, whereas Susie's the type always to back down if anyone else wants to say anything, so a lot of their conversations probably come across like this.

Bitchy, my arse. Carol's just a chatty person and I guess when she's got a story to tell, she gets one tracked. I'm just the same! Pretty sure she's not even aiming 'can I just tell you this' at Suzi who is at her near left, but looking beyond, across to the presenter desk. When I had my game, I thought Carol had a very good manner, a very good 'warm-up' style and was a natural whether it was an audience of oldies or a bunch of rowdy students. And while I'm on the subject (i.e. Shut up, can I just tell you this...'!) Des Lynam was a darling. I was a bag of nerves and he put me at ease and whispered quiet encouragement all through filming. Exchanging a high five with him is one of my claims to fame! Sorry, but I still miss old countdown :(

Definite bitchiness but then she's a woman so what do you expect?

(Awaits the feminist backlash).

EEEEE Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

That was a Miss Piggy style karate chop. Now, just drop the subject as I know SO MANY bitchy men, I just don't want to go there!
