Jono, number 12 is incorrect and ROASTERS is fine but its not the word I was thinking of for the alphabet therefore it is invalid this time!

This TTT alphabet is proving to be a tricky one . The latest spot by Ben Wilson RICOCHET is correct. However, ZYGOTIST is incorrect as there is only one "T"

Unfortunately Joseph ASSERTOR is not the one I was thinking of for this alphabet I will give you a very cryptic clue for the anagram ASSORTER. The clue is "a female spokeswoman in a restaurant perhaps!". I think someone should get it now! All answers to be revealed tomorrow

I think it defeats the point a bit if you set words that aren't actually in the Countdown dictionary.

Which is now the Countdown dictionary? I am getting words from the shorter ODE because I don't have the latest one!

I have resurrected this teatime teaser alphabet as an alternative to my usual 9 letter anagrams . Most of these are fairly recognisable and are of moderate difficulty so no cheats please . There are a whopping 52 eight letter anagrams with no clues unfortunately (it would take me forever!) with 2 anagrams for each letter of the alphabet.

Beware because there are 5 anagrams which are mixed up as proper words e.g. number 1 to 5, so do not confuse them for the legitimate 52 words

Please restrict yourselves to answering a few anagrams because it is a team effort and not a one man show .
