Aptominibash II [this Sunday]

There will be an Aptominibash at 8pm today (Sunday 26 April). Format is Conundrum Attack (30 second rounds). Everyone will play 5 games. This tournament is intended to be fun rather than highly competetive, since the focus is on testing the system ready for the full Aptobash, so feel free to enter even if you're rubbish at conundrums like me.

The 16 places are now taken. However it's likely that at least a few people will fail to turn up, so if you'd like to play then just hang around on Apterous at 8pm and there's a chance I can draft you in at the last moment.

Entrants:
  • Arnot, Stuart
  • Beevers, Craig
  • Bentley, Jim
  • Bevins, Kirk
  • Carson, Innis
  • Feist, Andrew
  • Garner, Oliver
  • Gough, Jimmy
  • Green, Matthew
  • Higgs, Aaron
  • Hulme, Andrew
  • Laddiman, Kai
  • O'Dowd, Daniel
  • Sfyris, Dinos
  • Wallace, Michael
  • Wilson, Ben

I'll more than likely be on, but won't play, as my siters will probably pester me to get on the computer. :(

Tell them there's a cash prize and you'll buy them all ponies if you win. This always worked on my sister.

Hmm, I'm not sure they're that gullible.

I am utterly rubbish at conundrums, but it should be a laugh anyway.

(if you quote the first 4 words of this then you suck)

I should be awake enough to type by then, so I'll give it a go.

Yes, I'd like to play please and since everybody's going out nobody will be pestering me for the computer.

Thanks for organising it - was a lot of fun. It doesn't matter particularly but the scoreline in my last game has the 2 & 6 the wrong way round, doesn't change the positions at all.

I presume Jeffrey Hansford won this?

It's a shame I never got to play Beevers but a +600 spread is fucking awesome. Well done, Craig.

Well done indeed to Craig. As if it isn't high enough as it is, his spread actually becomes +680 when you factor in the mistype in the last game scores.

Cheers for the Bash, Charlie, was excellent fun despite it being my most hated of formats, the format of the conundrum format. As far as a server test goes, everything was fine my end except in the game against Craig where we had to resume a few times within the first five rounds due to repeated freezes. After that it was fine (I think the final fifteen rounds of this game took about a minute in all, even with my occasional interjections of "fucking hell!" and suchlike in the chat, due to Craig's mad fast conundrum skillz).

And speaking of Craig, serious congratulations on an amazing display. It's the (usually) breathtaking speed that's so amazing, it's genuinely something that I can't comprehend.
