Spoilers for Thursday 23rd April

Post by Howard Somerset »

DC's offering of WASPIER in R1 looks suspect. I was torn between WASPIER and WISPIER, but fortunately decided to plump for WISPIER. On checking the dictionary for both, WISPIER is in, but WASPIER is only capitalised.

Did anyone notice that the shot of the players showed the fat guys score (cant remember his name) as 13 even though it was round 12? Poor job by the editress there.
If I suddenly have a squirming baby on my lap it probably means that I should start paying it some attention and stop wasting my time messing around on a Countdown forum

Disappointed that "spawnier" (R2 or R3) doesn't seem to be in. I think Northern slang takes longer to reach the dictionary than Southern slang. Discrimination, that's what it is. :x

PAIRWISE and VELARIUM were missed by everyone.

Excellent game though. There's not been much to get excited about Countdown wise in this series, apart from my brilliant guess at Kirk's octochamp total, but I think it's redeemed itself by having some of the most beautiful/handsome contestants I can remember.

I got PAIRWISE, but then I couldn't get on the forum yesterday to boast about it :(

No, both yesterday's teasers stumped me. As did the conundrum.
