Countdown Goodies For Sale
I'm moving house and need to offload some bulky stuff. For sale:
2 x OE Dictionaries won on the show
Countdown Board game won on the show
Susie's Language Report book won on the show
A numbers game sheet from COC signed by Jeff and Susie
If you can pick them up (i'm in Didsbury, South Manchester), then they're yours for a sensible offer. Too heavy and big to send by post though.

p.s. I am also clearing out my cellar and have a sexually and emotionally abused young woman for sale to the highest bidder.

If I suddenly have a squirming baby on my lap it probably means that I should start paying it some attention and stop wasting my time messing around on a Countdown forum

Yeah, those signed pieces of paper really take up room in the van, don't they?Matthew Green wrote:I'm moving house and need to offload some bulky stuff. For sale:

Well considering its about 6 square feet rolled up, then yes. It would probably get damaged in the back of a removals van.
p.s. I'm assuming that was sarcasm?

That's quite cool, actually. Does it have maths on it too? I might have to see if it's possible to nab one next week...

No, funnily enough Rachael decided to write a short essay on the Boer War in this particular game.

Tbf, you might've got them to sign a blank sheet.Matthew Green wrote:No, funnily enough Rachael decided to write a short essay on the Boer War in this particular game.

Haha, misread the OP - I was thinking of a sheet off the little pads contestants do their workings on. I'll just go and punch myself hard in the face to save you the trouble.Matthew Green wrote:Well considering its about 6 square feet rolled up, then yes. I would rather you didn't- I find gaybashing unacceptable.Phil Reynolds wrote:I'll just go and punch myself hard in the face to save you the trouble.

Why don't they just have a board that they can wipe clean?Michael Wallace wrote:Tbf, you might've got them to sign a blank sheet.Matthew Green wrote:No, funnily enough Rachael decided to write a short essay on the Boer War in this particular game.

I think this was raised before, and wipeable boards have too much glare to use under studio lights or something.Gavin Chipper wrote: Why don't they just have a board that they can wipe clean?

Funny, nobody has ever suggested that before.

I didn't imagine that I was the first to ask, but I couldn't remember any answer that might have been given.D Eadie wrote:Funny, nobody has ever suggested that before.
