Anybody got an explanation for posset, possetted, possetting and cosset, cosseted, cosseting?
No, I thought not.

Wanna hear something funny? [Spoiler info for Monday 16th Feb]
On Monday's episode possets came up, and Susie mentioned the word possetting in the explanation, only the sub-titler spelt it posseting!

Probably shouldn't put spoilers for later episodes without hiding it in some way. But I'm taking the points anyway.

Oops. Have amended. That's the closest I could get for hiding, unless someone has a better way?

I think that's quite a good way.

Wiktionary gives only POSSETS, POSSETING and POSSETED as the inflected forms of POSSET.

Of the OneLook hits, only a few give verbal inflections for POSSET, and they all have them as POSSETING and POSSETED likewise. POSSETING itself has five hits, including the OED, and POSSETTING only one (TFD)!

So I'm really confused....

Oxford Dictionaries Premium only gives the double t spellings for -ing and -ed:
VERB (possets, possetting, possetted)

[NO OBJECT]
(Of a baby) regurgitate curdled milk:

Hope that addresses the confusion.
