Whatever anyone says, 100 is a valid target. We go through this cycle of 100 coming up and then a bit later someone will say "Well it used to be a valid target but I don't think it is any more" and then it will come up again.

Yep, third time I’ve seen 100. Aptly, Rhys averaged 100. Life’s full of coincidences.
Congratulations, Rhys. It’s close between the top 2 as things stand. If they remain there and make the final, they should be a great battle.
Also that’s the first time CECIL has been uttered for a long time.

R8 - I declared OVERCASTS and totally would have declared it in live play too.
1st numbers 733 - there was a 7 there, obvious thing was to look for 100. Oh look there is a 5 and a 5, oh and look there is a 4. Now we need to get closer so we add 6 to 100 and get 742. Oh look there is a 9 there. Take the 9 away. It was the most direct and obvious method no?
Congrats to Rhys btw.

With 6 small I don't think there's necessarily anything special about 100. I'm no more likely to look for 7 × 100 than 9 × 80 odd (well less likely).

That reminds me of games that are sometimes easier to beginners than more experienced players. E.g. there's a 9, 10 and a 100 and the target is >950 and the only reasonably gettable way involves starting 9 × 100. A more experienced player might initially try to come down from 1000 and then try adding to the 100 before multiplying by 9, but miss the "obvious" 9 × 100 as a starting point. Whereas the less experienced player might go for that straight away and find it easy.

That 660 in a previous game though I thought was more obvious. Lots of factors so lots of ways to go maybe, but 11 or a multiple of it is sticking out as the source of awkwardness. Once you take out the 9+2 it's pretty clear you can get 60 by doing 3×5×(3+1).
