Probably only beaten by FB group post :
My Dog /Cat /Teenage child has gone missing.
With no follow up post to say that they are safe.
Mind you I did chuckle when for some reason a teenager went missing in Dallas Texas and someone shares the Post in Canterbury

Opening ceremonies, closing ceremonies and half time shows. Fuck off. If the sport isn't enough for you, go watch Britain's Got Talent or something. Although maybe I'd watch trash tv like Love Island if they kicked it all off with a football match first. An aul 5-a-side on the beach would go down a treat.

The Olympics are generally good but you don't need them elsewhere

I really enjoy that. I love how a sprinter goes at it for 99 metres but when they realise they've qualified they suddenly try to act cool and relaxed like they had it under control all the time.

I get so genuinely angry when someone doesn't indicate. It is the most effortless thing in the world to do. The rage I feel over this is not normal but if you're out there and don't indicate - please explain to me why (even if its an empty road, nobody around you yadayada). Out yourselves peasants.

I'm probably guilty of this on empty roads, but only when there aren't vehicles behind me...
I've mentioned this before on here, but after watching the new Only Connect episode last night, I am once again venting my frustration of when the "horned" in "horned viper" is pronounced as "horn-ed". Needs to get in the bin.

I've sometimes wondered if you could get away with cutting a roundabout completely if you're turning right and it's the middle of the night and no-one's around. That is to say, go the wrong way on the roundabout as a shortcut. If you do that, whether you signal or not pales into insignificance!

I mean if there is no one to stop you or report you then it's fine.
I've jumped many a red light at a temporary traffic light situation at 4.30 in the morning.
When Iused to work at Ashford there is a set of lights that must be activated by a cars weight or something like that as I've had to jump them at 4 or 5 am as they don't work if there is no car behind me

All radio stations telling you the news every hour. If I am listening to Absolute 80s or Classic FM or The Football I have no interest in the wider news (and would appreciate the respite). If I wanted to listen to the news I would change over to a news channel.

100%. In Ireland it's part of the broadcasting license that 20% of commercial radio output must be news and current affairs. I think it's similar in the UK. Apparently it's popular though for regional and local stations to feature local news and listeners expect it, but I would definitely get rid of the requirement.

There's a community radio station in Dublin that caters for more niche interests that more commercial stations wouldn't cover and they have a show that's basically traffic report then a song, traffic report then a song during peak traffic times in the morning and evening. It's the best show on the radio. The deejays play a really eclectic mix of tunes in between the reports.

I don't know if still happens because nobody has listened to the Top 40 on the radio for years but even though it was on the BBC they kept stopping to advertise some nonsense so it might as well have been a commercial station. Sure, it might have been in some sense their own stuff they were advertising but it was really annoying. They wouldn't pause a TV programme to do this.

May have been filler to ensure the program lasted the correct amount of time?

Totally agree.
Also people with congenital problems that require regular medication that is not diabetes having to pay for prescriptions.
I had major heart surgery 14 years ago (fuck is it that long )
and have to take wayfaring for life but I wasn't entitled to free prescriptions.
The type 2 diabetes medicine due to obesity is another matter but I'm over 60 now so it's free

Is this more just that they don't get paid enough in general? Other than that, it could just as well apply to other jobs.

It's unusual in that most places of work would have a staff car park and a subsidised canteen

I'm going to sound like a hypocrite here ( now there's a surprise) but mobility scooters on pavements and in shops should not be allowed to go faster than casual walking speeds. They are a menace ,especially in shops.

I've wondered about this as well. You're kicking a ball around 30 metres, during which it will be subject to air resistance, and any of the players in the box might interfere with its path. You can't possibly predict its exact destination so surely changing the starting point by a centimetre isn't going to give any discernible benefit.
