Spoilers for Tuesday 12th March 2024 (Series 89, Heat 51)

Nice debut from Apterite and crossword fiend in Lucas Glanville.

R4: DIVAGATE
R5: HERONITES

Max game for me.

TALIPES and, more obscurely, ALPISTE, are the useful anagrams of invalid Pilates, which has now been disallowed for the 22nd time (including matched plays).

Coincidentally, Rick Edwards was the guest when PULSATILE was the 2023 CoC XVI Final conundrum.

Loved the cryptic clues as well.

Geezer was quite good today. A bit early on, but another potential octochamp perhaps.

yep he wasn't missing much and beat me on a couple of rounds. Things like HERONITES really aren't in the wheelhouse of anyone who hasn't devoted more time than is healthy to dictionary learning (I got it...!)
