Do you own one?
Have you ever been stopped by the police for using one?
I was thinking of buying one as I have had a recent fall and I have hurt my ribs and long walks to work are proving painful.
Most of my journey are through farmland so it's private but no doubt I will need permission.

If you're going over farmland I would suggest you go for a 4-wheel drive one!

Are you allowed to own one? I thought you could only hire them or something. I think maybe it's fine for you and your mate to each buy one, but then swap them for use, also paying each other a tenner or something.

My son got one and fell off it and broke his wrist the second time he used it, so if you're accident prone it might not be the answer!

I think I will have to practice in a car park or something.
Im hoping I can try before I buy

My understanding is that you can't use them on public footpaths or bridleways, so you could only use them on the bits of farmland that you need permission to go on anyway. Whether anyone would actually stop you is another matter. Plenty of people cycle on public footpaths, though they shouldn't.

It's just badly-written laws and legislation, really. They're classified as motorbikes but obviously don't fulfil any motorbike safety criteria. You can *own* one but you can't ride it publicly at the moment, either on road or pavement.

I'm hoping next year there will be a legislation change

My missus says that I'm too old to ride an Escooter.
A bit ageist
