RR: 579. (2 × 75 + 1) × 4 − 25 (10)
Score: 62–32 (max 74)

Now this is unexpected.............could Matt be getting a little jittery ????? as Liam picks up another 7 points....but Rachel mops up and produces the perfect solution

Teatime teaser: GOONCAST -> OCTAGONS

Round 12: B A R O T U S E T

Matt: OUTSTARE (8)
Liam: TABOURETS (18)
OT: OBTURATES (18)

This is something you don't see often.................our champion Matt being beat on a letters round........COULD THE NERVES BE GETTING TO HIM A BIT.........OR IS THERE ANOTHER TWIST IN THIS CONTEST ???????? !!!!!! as our challenger spots the 9 that keeps him in the game...........however there is still everything to play for !!!

TABOURET : A low stool or small table.

Score: 87–68 (max 117)

Round 13: L D E P A I T A Y

Liam: playdate
DC: ADEPTLY
OT: PEDALITY (8)

A great 7 from Matt that allows him to stretch his lead further.........but Liam has his 8 disallowed Play Date as it is two words :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(                  :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( but there is an 8 hidden away with PEDALITY

Round 14: 75, 5, 7, 3, 6, 1. Target: 763.

Matt: 763. (3 − 1) × 5 × 75 + 6 + 7 (10)
Liam: 762.
Score: 104–68 (max 135)

A good solve from Matt as he breezes his way to another 10 points and Octochampdom !!!!!

Round 15: C O P P E R H I T

Matt buzzes on 2.5 seconds to say PROTHETIC which is incorrect.
Liam buzzes on 3.75 seconds to say PROPHETIC which is correct.
Final Score: 104–78 (max 145)

A huge congraulations to Matt on becoming on octochamp and the newest member of the 900 club and storming into the No 2 seed position with his total of 949 points averaging 118.625 points a game. But take nothing away from Liam who put up a good fight and gave Matt a run for his money, on another day Liam could of easily won a couple of games as he had some really good spots but was unfortunate to run into Matt. I will be looking forward to seeing Matt in the finals ......... where he has to do it all over again......so lets hope the 11 years practice he has had will have paid off ...... will this make him the series 85 champion ????? Find out whether he will achieve this or not ????????? YOU WILL NOT WANT TO MISS IT !!!!
