dan hall could become an octochamp off this game. pretty mad that we've had two full 8-game runs in the first 17 episodes of the series

And there's a rather good Apterite making his debut tomorrow (27th) - I won't be surprised if we have 3 octochamps within the first 26 episodes (which would be a record?)

Close but I think
Series 48 still takes it (Julia Wilkinson was an octo). Back-to-back-to-back octochamps has only been done once before though.

In which case the earlier quote might be slightly premature
- 711 is a relatively low octotal
