Series 84 Finals Predictions (With Poll)

With just one more Preliminary of Series 84 yet to air as of the time of writing, we now know who are the final eight and here they are! At long last, the suspense is over and we know who is in and who's not!

Quarter-Finals #1 (15 December): Ahmed Mohamed (#1 Seed) vs Janet Noe (#8 Seed)
Quarter-Finals #2 (16 December): Stu Harkness (#2 Seed) vs Roddie Bell (#7 Seed)
Quarter-Finals #3 (17 December): Florence-Cappleman Lynes (#3 Seed) vs Jasamrit Rahala (#6 Seed)
Quarter-Finals #4 (20 December): Jeremy Slaney (#4 Seed) vs Matt Gould (#5 Seed)

This Series has no doubt been an incredibly strong one with so many strong players, some successful, others not so. We've got two former contestants in the lineup as well which pretty much says something too! This is the first Series final to be held under Anne Robinson and under the temporary arithmetician, Dr. Anne-Marie. It all looks set to be an exciting conclusion to the Series! Unfortunately, Susie Dent won't be here for the first three-Quarter Finals as mentioned on the air today, but don't worry, she'll be here to see the champion being crowned eventually!

I'm not going to be sharing any predictions and will be writing a review of the episode each day as per the last six Series, so if you have any feel free to post them here!

Due to the late reveal of who are the finalists (which doesn't happen very often!), the poll will close on the day the third Quarter-Final airs (i.e. Friday, 17 December 2021) rather than the first Quarter-Final AND you will be allowed to change your vote until then. Finally, if you happen to be reading this in the near future, apologies but you will not be able to vote.

All stats have been sorted out on my part.

Tough one to call, but still think Ahmed will clinch it at the end. Do foresee 1 or 2 seeding upsets though....

1 v 8: Ahmed v Janet- Ahmed to win by 65 pts
Feel Ahmed will be in great form and will get a whopping score, but Janet won't disgrace herself at all.
2 v 7: Stu v Roddie- Roddie to win by 2 points.
Reckon this will be close, and see this going down to a crucial. Will probably be way off but will go with Roddie nicking it on the conundrum. Won't be surprised at all if Stu wins, though.
3 v 6: Florence v Jasamrit- Florence to win by 35 points.
Could be a good game numbers-wise, but think Florence has the edge with her conundrum and letters skills....
4 v 5: Jeremy v Matt: Matt to win by 7 points.
Think there'll be some 6 small action that will see Matt successfully take advantage of. Wouldn't be surprised if Jeremy won, but have a gut feeling that Matt will take it.
SF1- Ahmed v Matt- Ahmed to win by 60 points.
SF2-Florence v Roddie- Florence to win by 27 points.
Final- Ahmed v Florence- Ahmed to win by 25 points.

Based on the show I'd say Ahmed is clear favourite. But if Stu or Florence have been upping their game on Apterous then any of the three could take it.

Congratulations! Most of you were right this time with Ahmed Mohamed winning! Great job to Florence as well who managed to make it to the Grand Final, we need more women to get to that stage!
