Spoilers for Monday 27th September 2021 (Series 84, Prelim 65)
Having someone as a guest who is famous only for being the father of a grossly incompetent prime minister is not a good choice. It comes across very much like government propaganda and it buys into the whole narrative of Boris Johnson being a thoroughly good chap and the whole "cuddly Boris" thing, diverting attention from the accusations that he is actually scum.
In other news, Anne Robinson (who repeated her own birthday on the guess-the-day-of-the-week-and-who-was-born-on-this-day game) revealed that she'd forgotten it was her birthday coming up last weekend, and Staney Johnson had also forgotten that he'd had his 81st birthday. I'm beginning to wonder after all these years if Countdown really is shown live.

Stanley Johnson was an MEP and author in his own right…

He's not famous for either of these. People haven't heard of most MEPs or authors.Rhys Benjamin wrote: ↑Mon Sep 27, 2021 6:13 pm Stanley Johnson was an MEP and author in his own right…

They've got Alistair Campbell on in DC soon- similarly controversial for a particular group of people.

If it was when Tony Blair was prime minister I'd agree.

r3 alt: (25+50+5)*(8+2)-9=791
r14 alt: (6+1)*75-9-8-3 = 505

She also said at the end that she 'will be' 77!Gavin Chipper wrote: ↑Mon Sep 27, 2021 6:12 pm ... Anne Robinson (who repeated her own birthday on the guess-the-day-of-the-week-and-who-was-born-on-this-day game) revealed that she'd forgotten it was her birthday coming up last weekend
Can anyone confirm that 'leashed' would be ok in R11(?)
Not as an adjective, but as 'leash' is listed as a verb? I know to ignore the example sentence it appears in.

It's certainly listed as a verb in the free version, and it's also valid on Apterous, so I'd say it's a pretty safe bet.Philip Wilson wrote: ↑Sun Oct 24, 2021 9:50 pmShe also said at the end that she 'will be' 77!Gavin Chipper wrote: ↑Mon Sep 27, 2021 6:12 pm ...
