Was just typing in mine. Luckily I checked before starting the thread!

25 × (50 - 10 - 8) - 7 + 3 = 796

Anne was hit and miss; some Weakest Link-y bits but some funny banter too. She’s got something in there, just needs to get rid of the unnecessary bits.

It seems Anne's decided to change the rules. Jo declared 8 and Steve declared 7, but Jo was asked for her word first.

If the contestants declare different lengths it makes no difference to the game or the tactics of the round which of them you ask for their word first. Besides, I'm not sure there's ever _been_ a rule about who gets asked for their word first.

There hasn't been a rule, but there should be one if we end up with a host dozy enough to think that leading with the more impressive word makes for good telly. She's lucky there is no live audience, as they tend to clap an impressive word from time to time.

The order should always be:-
Short word - long word - possible applause... any other order makes no sense.

Given that Anne only did this in *one* round, I am assuming it was an error.
