I wa surprised to discover that UNSLEPT ( r 12) doesn't appear in Lexico. I would have thought that a bed could be unslept in.

What dictionary is this that states that CATTLE is a mass noun? Lexico has it, correctly, as a plural noun.

It's more (un) slept-in than unslept in. Because you don't unsleep.Howie Myers wrote: ↑Mon May 24, 2021 4:31 am I wa surprised to discover that UNSLEPT ( r 12) doesn't appear in Lexico. I would have thought that a bed could be unslept in.

You also don't unwrite or unread. But something can be unwritten or unreadable.Gavin Chipper wrote: ↑Mon May 24, 2021 10:14 pmIt's more (un) slept-in than unslept in. But I would guess the issue here is that "unslept" doesn't exist as an independent word, but only as part of the hyphenated word "unslept-in".
