Time to share your favourite apps.
Mine are currently Scrabble Go ( better without the ads)
MyFitness Pal. Great for counting calories, carbs etc
Especially the barcode reading facility

Chess.com and Chess Tempo are good fun. They're clearly not good for improving though as I am still rubbish at Chess.

I've had to delete Instagram, Flamingo (Android Twitter client) and Reddit Sync because they were having a deleterious effect on my attention span.

Google Maps.

I used the chess.com app a while back and thought it was great.
Another good app is the official Ticket to ride app. You have to pay for it but for the enjoyment I have got out of it I thought it was worth it.
I have my own Countdown app that I've been playing obsessively for the past year which I've become addicted to.

Apps that I miss using:
CityMapper was always better than google maps for travelling around ldn for me
The Dice ticket app was excellent for getting gig tickets when gigs used to be a thing
The meetup app was quite good for finding places to play badminton and also app developer networking events.

Agree with Jono that social media apps are generally the worst thing for your attention span.

Xigxag.
An audiobook app without the commitment.
I have just bought the Thursday Murder Club by Richsrd Osman for £7.99.
There are no subscriptions but less choice than Audible.
Lots of James Patterson and Kate Atkinson though which is good for me.
Some older titles are 4 quid but you dont pay more than £7.99 for any book and you can share the book if you want though im not sure if it has to be after tou have read it

Love this site. Think they have an app on the play store as well but I usually just play through a browser. Tons of card games and some other stuff including yahtzee and battleships and you can play against humans online too.
