I certainly think of Paul Reaney as famous, and I didn't know that. Over 700 games for Leeds, in the initial squad of 40 for the 1966 World Cup and would definitely have been in the squad for Mexico in 1970 if he hadn't been injured. Slide-tackling a member of that Leeds team and living to tell the tale is a claim to fame in itself.

I got fouled by Norman "Bites Yer Legs" Hunter....He subsequently ruined the experience by apologising.

I once won a Twitter competition organised by the Vegetarian Society and Quorn to win 10 Quorn vouchers.
Also used to be followed by the Bulgarian Eurovision delegation on Twitter.

I went to a two-morning Paul Reaney football coaching clinic at a Haven Holidays park when I was about 7. I remember doing lots of heading for no particular reason, then coming away with two photos - one, a signed a4 photo of him full of his career stats, and the other, a photo he took with every child there, in which we kneeled sideways-on turning to face the camera, while he kneeled behind us, hands on our shoulders. In hindsight, bit odd.

My meeting with Paul Reaney was similar except I think he just came as a special guest for the last day of a two-week football training thing at Butlins and I don't think there were any photos.

When a law student, I went along to a networking event, where the idea was to try and seduce them coveted mini-pupillages from the barristers and high-falutin' folk in attendance. In reality, I spent my entire time talking to
this guy. (I had completely forgotten about this until YouTube's autoplay just threw the video at me, which hints at how memorable of a conversation we had.)
