Tom and Marwan would make an excellent Countdown team! Even for the last letters and numbers rounds they just swapped!

Ouch! That was a really painful ending- did feel for Marwan- I reckon he would have solved the last numbers had the pressure not got to him.... Tom got some decent enough spots today, but don't feel he is octochamp material.....

Tom has nerves of steel with these consecutive crucials! Unfortunate for Marwan today, who seemed a tidy player, to gandiseeg the conundrum.
Susie's definition of HENTAI was suitably censored for a daytime audience!

Sorry to gravedig a very old thread but I do see Marwan fairly regularly through my work... he told some great stories about this episode, not least HENTAI, but he told me the other day he essentially Jimmy Gough-ed the conundrum. He also thought he started very poorly and grew into the game.
