Today we are seeing the last two contestants who can break into the series finals which start later this week. Two more wins, today and tomorrow, will guarantee Denis a place. Kim, though, in order to reach this series' finals needs three wins, with an average score of 111. Whose ambitions will be destroyed by the end of today's game?
Enjoy the show.

A discussion then followed about outtakes from recordings of Coronation Street. This soon moved on to Countdown outtakes, with Carol mentioning a number of "rude words" that have appeared. There was then one of the rare occasions that I'd noticed an obvious cut in the recording. Clearly those rude words were all given an airing.
Back to today's show. Kim goes home with her goody bag, having made a reasonable recovery following her calamitous start. Denis lives on, and can bag his place in the finals by winning tomorrow, or even losing with a score of 62 or more.
