I served him in Ashford John Lewis around 4 years ago I think he was living in France or Belgium.
I loved his column in the Evening Standard and his Inside Victor Lewis Smith.
The gay daleks and White wee-wee being a favourite.
Also check out his hoax phone call to Princess Diana
Google it, as it may not be on Youtube

Re: Deathwatch 2017
One of the biggest deaths of all time. Brace yourselves - Jean-Pierre Jabouille. He was the first winner for Renault in F1 at the French Grand Prix in 1979, and this was also the first win for a turbo car. That race has probably become more famous for the battle between Gilles Villeneuve and Rene Arnoux in the last couple of laps though. Race highlights are available here. The last bit of the race is here.

You know what, as a self confessed cineast I have never seen this movie, but I've always had a dislike of comic book films( Watchmen a V for Vendetta are exceptions).Mark James wrote: ↑Thu Mar 09, 2023 9:25 amI would have said Flash Gordon was more memorable.Marc Meakin wrote: ↑Thu Mar 09, 2023 8:37 am Topol.

However I often quoted "Gordon is Alive" whenever my old work colleague arrived late.

How did you deliver the line though? Was it in that shouty way people normally do Brian Blessed impressions, because that's wrong. In the actual film, when he says the line, it's probably the quietest Brian Blessed has ever been.
