We'll need a new thread for 2018 soon as well. I'm not sure any of mine have died, so I could just submit the same entry again.

I am listing my 10 names for 2018 also requesting all lists to not have duplicates of others.
1. James Bolam
2. Pele
3. Nigel Lawson
4. Sir Ian McKellen
5. Dame Maggie Smith
6. William Roche
7. Donald Trump
8. Prince Philip
9. Jimmy Tarbuck
10. Ken Dodd.
Obviously this needs to be moved to correct new thread

Re: Deathwatch 2017
OK, as per the other thread, it's the all-new Deathwatch 2017 Unlimited!
Turns out I had missed a couple of deaths from last year, oddly enough both picked by Sean D. (Gord Downie and Jalal Talabani) - sorry Sean.
Current standings:
1. Mark Deeks - 263 points - 4 hits
2. Sean D - 256 points - 4 hits
3. Jim Bentley - 203 points - 3 hits
4. James Laverty - 159 points - 3 hits
5. Thomas Carey - 109 points - 2 hits
6. Andy McGurn - 80 points - 2 hits
7. Marc Meakin - 56 points - 1 hit
8. Ben Wilson - 53 points - 2 hits
9. Euan Slatter - 28 points - 1 hit
10. Gavin Chipper - 0 points - 0 hits
11. Mark James - 0 points - 0 hits
12. Jennifer Steadman - 0 points - 0 hits
As a result of Sean getting three late on last year (and the first of this year), he rockets from nowhere straight into 2nd place. Watch out, Kerry Katona!

I think Des O'Connor might be next, or possibly David Attenborough, as much as I'd hate anything bad to happen to either of them. The Chuckle Brothers are also quite old now, sadly I wouldn't be surprised to see them go.

The David Kelly I'm thinking of from Fawlty Towers died in 2012 it was his birthday this week that's where my confusion lie.
To add to my confusion I've now forgotten if it's Kelly or Kelley

I'm not killing them off or anything, but the deaths of Fernando Ricksen and Robert Mugabe have made my lead here surely unassailable.

None. It makes no sense for it to. It would need to be specified in advance for it to have any validity as a competition, but even then it would be completely pointless and you'd have to wait for decades to declare a winner.

As I declared above, this is Deathwatch 2017 Unlimited and it will end once somebody gets ten hits. Yes, that may take decades and it's quite likely that I will die before it happens but hey, I don't make the rules. OK, maybe I do make the rules but hey. THOSE ARE THE RULES.Gavin Chipper wrote: ↑Wed Oct 09, 2019 1:54 pmNone. It makes no sense for it to.
