The Question Thread

Post by Jimmy Gough »

Hmmm I thought another way we could all get to know each other a bit more (well most of you know each other anyway) but I thought I'd start a question thread.

So I start with a question, then you answer and ask another question, etc, etc.

OK, I'll go first :D

Do I get to pick the finger? And can I be surrounded by a team of surgeons ready to reattach it?

Then no. Money isn't everything, and I'd have the stigma of "mutilated himself for money" for the rest of my life!

My turn: You're on Countdown with the selection JCNRTIEEO and you see 2 8s. Do you declare

a) ERECTION for fun

or

b) NEOTERIC to sound smart

Yes, without a second's hesitation. And to Dinos' question, you wouldn't sound smart with NEOTERIC when your opponent offers REJECTION 8-)

Well the idea was somebody replies to the original question and posts another, they reply to the next question and post another, then somebody else replies to that question and also post another question and so on. So there's always another crazy question. I'll start again. Hmmmm.

As my children are too old for Toy Story, and they haven't made me a grandfather yet, I'll have to say Buzz Lightyear, as he's the only one I know.

What would you do if you were offered the chance to be a contestant on Deal Or No Deal?

I'd jump at the chance, although having 3 weeks off school isn't happening.

Yes, her name was, and probably still is, Denise McHale.

Anna Southgate and Marie Hayden are also worthy of mention as far as attractive contestants go :)

Ariane Sherine was quite tidy - the girl who beat Mr Chris Philpot. She is the same lady that is running the atheist bus campaign.

But Dinos DID ask a question:
Dinos Sfyris wrote:Who dya reckon would fare best on Countdown out of this series' X Factor contestants?
But I'll leave that one for the next person to reply to, and instead answer Jim's. No I wouldn't kill anyone, except maybe Jimmy ;) for not using a smillie after what he said about me which left me unsure how to take it... :| Sorry if I'm not to your liking, but that's the risk you take when you're open like me, and partake and divulge. I clicked on your name to see your profile, and there's not one bit of info there, so I'll not comment back, apart from to say, as they do on the X Factor "You're entitled to your opinion." :)
Edit: Jimmy, I've since noticed that it was YOU who started this thread! Some thanks I get for making a joke to try and get the Q&As back on track!

How do you know about my button??? (Presses button instantly liquefying Jim Bentley, then laughs maniacally with one hand hovering over a globe while stroking a Persian cat with the other)

If any of them is particularly brainy, they're hiding it well (probably wisely at this stage). But I suspect Ruth Lorenzo would do rather well.
