Other countries' money can be made obsolete - it's not just ours. When I found out that someone had a load of the old paper £20 notes, I thought how ridiculous of them. But then I thought that I've still got a load of US money from my last visit a few years ago. I didn't bother changing it back with the idea that I'd likely go back eventually.
