Boris or Philip - Who Said/Did It?
In light of Boris Johnson's appointment as foreign secretary and people tonight on Twitter getting some of his gaffes mixed up with Prince Philip's, let's have a quiz.
Do not use Google at any point; this is just a bit of fun.
This is also going on the Tube Challenge forums.
Please PM your answers to me by Wednesday 20 July 2016, 23:59 BST.
Who said or did the following, Boris Johnson or Prince Philip?
1 - (upon hearing Madonna was doing the theme for "Die Another Day") "Are we going to need earplugs?"
2 - (on the British embassy in Berlin) "It's a vast waste of space."
3 - "Cats kill far more birds than men. Why don't [we] have a slogan: "Kill a cat and save a bird?""
4 - "The only reason I wouldn't go to some parts of New York is the real risk of meeting Donald Trump."
5 - "I'd like to go to Russia very much - although the bastards murdered half my family."
6 - "[The Queen] has come to love the Commonwealth, partly because it supplies her with regular cheering crowds of flag-waving piccaninnies."
7 - "I thought it was against the law for a woman to solicit."
8 - (on the Garden Bridge) "I don't quite know what the point of this thing is."
9 - "If we could just stop the tourism [in London], we could stop the congestion."
10 - "The French don’t know how to cook breakfast."

I actually entered but Rhys discarded it as coming from a Trotskyite entryist and so ineligible. Then he asked me for £25.Gavin Chipper wrote:Probably only one entrant.Graeme Cole wrote:So the person who got the most correct answers did worse than would be expected by random guessing?Rhys Benjamin wrote:The winner came from the Tube Challenge forum, who scored 4/10.

There was more than one entrant. Entries were a bit on the low side so I started doing the quiz on some of the Surrey members, who could only muster 3 out of 10 between a group of six of them...
