Spoilers for Thursday September 3rd 2015 (S73 P45)
We have two new contestants today after Jonathan Wynn became an octochamp yesterday. And I believe that the presence of apterites does not end yet, as apterite Matty Artell will be taking his chance today. Can he do what Jonathan's done, starting with a win today?

CINEASTES in round 2. I didn't get the other beater in the studios without the aid of Zubair's phone.

Matty seemed quite pleased about the bloke in the audience getting the conundrum.

FWIF, It was very nearly Thomas Carey, who the crew were set to film answering it, only for someone to point out that he was recording the following day, so they gave the opportunity to another guy instead.Steven M. Well done Matty, good start, hopefully more to come.

It is now in the ODO but as it's invalid on apterous, I assume it must be one of many thousands of recently added words and would not have been valid at the time of recording.szodiac wrote:Jessica spotted a beater in the FORAGES opening round. GASIFORM.

That was indeed the reason for my mirth - schadenfreude, as Tom had been going on about getting a mug for ages, so I was laughing at his misfortuneJack Worsley wrote:FWIF, It was very nearly Thomas Carey, who the crew were set to film answering it, only for someone to point out that he was recording the following day, so they gave the opportunity to another guy instead.Steven M. Today's conundrum solution was the second one in a row that they've stolen from CoC XI.
I'm not dead yet. In a rut right now because of stress from work. I'll be back later in S89. I also plan to bring back the Mastergram - if I can find a way to run a timer or clock through pure MediaWiki without having to upload to Vimeo every time.
