Riddle

Post by Joseph Bolas »

If you eat it, you will die.
It is greater than god, yet
more evil than the devil.
The rich need it and the poor have it.

What it is?

This should be a straightforward puzzle so please PM me your answer :D

I've also got this, although I'm positive I have heard it before (it took a good few hours to recall) so I don't feel too proud. I can't be arsed to PM you though. That's actually a little bit of a clue to anyone still musing....

You'd be lucky if the poor had an ancient refridgerator.

It's been a week since this puzzle was started so time to reveal the answer.

Well done to everyone who got the answer "nothing".

Not a terribly satisfactory answer. E.g. it would seem to imply that "nothing is greater than god", which might be your opinion but certainly isn't mine, preferring as I do to ascribe greatness to things that exist.

It should have been, "It is greater than Countdown..."
16/10/2007 - Episode 4460
Dinos Sfyris 76 - 78 Dorian Lidell
Proof that even idiots can get well and truly mainwheeled.

You find everyone funny, Jason. Do you want Kai to be Countdown's new presenter?

Kirk, at this point, I just want Jeff Stelling to say yes and get it over with. I can't handle the suspense any longer!
