Question about the clock music
Question about the clock music
Bird at work reckons it's just the end of a much larger piece of "classical" music. She's talking shit, right? She claims that it's "like, half an hour long or something" and "they played it on Capital Radio or something a while ago".
She's fairly new but strikes me as one of these people who always has a story about everything (hence this was her contribution when she found out about my small side-interest (ahem) in Countdown), often of the variety of "this actually happened to me" it's more likely to be some vague story heard from elsewhere. It's surely only a matter of time before she claims to have done something that I find on snopes. Cracking tits though.

Re: Question about the clock music
It isn't. It was composed by Alan Hawkshaw specially for the programe. I reckon your (mis)informer is getting it mixed up with the "Nokia tune": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nokia_tune
Re: Question about the clock music
Thanks Jennifer. I'll show her this as proof.
Maybe I'll edit it a little first...

The clock music should be played with electric guitars.

Re: Question about the clock music
With the obvious exception of my craptacular wailing over the top, I didn't think Matt (the guitarist) did a bad job at all.

Hi, Chris!
I haven't seen you here in a long time!
How are you, and did anyone else other than your band witness that performance?

Re: Question about the clock music
That was at an event called the 'Ansty Music Festival', which is a very overstated title for 30 A-level students crammed into a mate's garage.
