David Pooley got his second win yesterday, can he get a third in what is another very short week?
Join who I assume will still be James L. for the recap later.

Impressive run of 10 maxes from David there, but last rounds not so good. Several alts about today (though sadly for
me not orangest to ragstone) and one beater in the ALMONDS+EN round.

LANDSMEN in round 13 (which I thought wasn't in actually...

)
ALBEDOS/SLABBED/SLOBBED in round 1, WASTREL in round 2, JESSIE in round 4, DIAPIR in round 7 and NEGATORS in round 11.
2nd Numbers Alts.: ((6 + 2) x 75) - 25 - 4 & (((75 x 4) - (6 / 3)) x 2) - 25 =
571

R11: If I'd spent more time playing then I may well have got RAGSTONE / NEGATORS but I'm disappointed I missed GANGSTER
R12: I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little bit distracted by Eileen's obvious folding when she didn't declare a word.
R13: Given my computing background, I really should have got DAEMONS but I've never heard of LANDSMEN (see comment about more time playing).
R14: I also had 2 x 100 + 3 x 10 + 50 written down but there are a myriad of other solutions such as (50 + 3 x 2) * 5 and (100 + 50 - 10) x 2.
Given my time again, I would have done more preparation before my first appearance. As with the previous programme, having already won I didn't care too much about the conundrum - I guess I just don't have the killer instinct

Happy with 11 maximums though!

it was a great game David. Impressive run of maxes. You would have taken a few of us who " practice" to a crucial conundrum so can't really say more than that

Well, you could. "You would have taken a few of us to a crucial conundrum" sounds pretty fucking patronising tbh

To David Pooley..Apologies if it came across as patronising. You would have taken me to a crucial and I didn't say whether I was winning or losing before the crucial anyway.
Jon Corby. We will no doubt ever see eye to eye..you stir all u want

Yeah, I usually don't care too much about the conundrum either................especially when I can't get it!

My conundrum performance is probably about 50/50 but I actually got that one [albeit after 29 seconds]! Then when nobody in the audience admitted to having it I thought I was probably wrong. Sorry if this comes across as showing off but I'm not really like that

I didn't find it in the least bit patronising but even if I did, my shoulders are broad enough and my skin thick enough
