I know for a fact that there has been at least one previous transgender contestant on the show (not me), but it is personal choice on whether people want to be public about it or not). I admire anyone, regardless of religion, sexuality, creed, gender, who has the guts to go on national television when there is so much scrutiny of people in forums such as this and on social media websites, not only on their performance, but on them as individuals too.
