George "Pryn" Ford put in a solid effort yesterday, and ends the week as champion. Can he remain champion to wrap things up?

Join Anthony for the recap later.

Round 14 is probably the best contestant numbers solve I've seen on TV. Amazing. #teamgeorge

I used to be against unnecessarily flashy numbers solutions, but I'm actually changing my mind, especially when they're as good as that - it's all good fun, and definitely wows the audience. Well played sir.

Round 14 - the Countdown equivalent of Erik Lamela's rabona.

Or Frank Worthington versus Ipswich. That's probably lost most of you.

To be honest I do prefer simplifying things usually, but I think that was the only solution so you can let me off hehehe

thanks so much all :)))

Maybe - the solver is down so can't check at the mo. But you could of course have just done 100/50 = 2 and not gone above 1,950 in an intermediate stage. Or even 975 actually.

Glad you didn't though.

I suppose thinking about it, it was just 39×25. 75+3=78. 100/50=2. 78/2=39. 39×25=975. Fraud!

(Great game and great spot. Well done.)

Well played again George. Great numbers round at the end. That's two really capable players you've beaten.

Super staggering once more, I'm in complete awe of anyone who can pull off 4 large methods like that on the telly with such coolness too. 8-) 8-) 8-) ;) :) :D  8-) (Actually takes attention away from the TODGERS funny bit too. :P  )

I must say watching round 1, I was waiting for CATERWAUL, which was a letter away from coming out :!: :!:

ADUKIS in round 4 and FAERIE in round 7.

Aside from small rearrangements like that, George's solution was the only one. Congratulations George, I hope to see many more!

Nicely done again, George! I hope you can keep coming up with these awesome numbers solutions. :D Very strong opponent too, he had some great spots and could have won a few on another week.

BRACERO in round 5 for a beater.

Wow thanks everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes John was great and a really nice guy, I'm not one of those people that writes down every round/scores etc so when it came to the end and I saw the scores I was really surprised, as with his great spots it felt like a really close game and I don't think 68 warranted his ability.

Hehe I loved the numbers targets so much, got really lucky with them

Brilliant George! Enjoying the numbers. Doing the tricks on apterous is one thing but doing them under studio pressure is another level. Well done, keep it up lad.

Did anyone on here genuinely get round 14's number solution in time?

PS well done George — AMAZING!

I did but it took me a while to work out what to do. I thought of it in terms of the 937.5 rule, which a lot of four large players will be familiar with.
