Neil Green made up a word, but won his third in spite of that. Can he get another win today?

Join James for the recap later.

He could be 900 material if he had any sort of numbers game, but as it is, he won't even score 800.

OPPIDA in round 1, I'm sure there was a third DC beater somewhere too, can't remember.

I didn't find one.

Neil will not survive in the finals long with numbers like that. (50-3)x3 as the quick way to 141.

Just out of curiosity, how many points has Neil took out of the 16 numbers games, he's played so far?

Wonder if he's actually practiced at the numbers before coming on?

Just 67/160, which is dreadful, certainly compared to what others can do.......................

SAMFIES in round 8 and NEOCONS in round 13.

It might be worth doing an "Ask Graeme" on biggest difference between letters and numbers performance (maybe difference between percentage of max) when he's finished his run (octo or otherwise), or just the list of octochamps by percentage of numbers solves or percentage of available numbers points, if he makes it to octochamp. I know we're not supposed to be rude about contestants, but I think this is more about pointing out the massive difference in skill between the two parts of the game. It's worthy of note.

I'll ask Graeme if it's worth doing an "Ask Graeme" about it.

Maybe he thinks 800 is more than 900.

It would be interesting to have some kind of average base percentage of numbers points scored against letters points scored to go by for every game, details of which could be included on the recap along with max and raw scores of each contestant. I appreciate working out the average in the first place would be time consuming and it would always be changing, but maybe it could be worked out for one series, ie the previous series, and then could be used for all games in the following series.
