There's a new quiz coming up next year with our old friend CJ - anyone one else applied for it? I'm filming early next year, will mention any broadcast info when I have it.
A group for contestants and lovers of the Channel 4 game show 'Countdown'.

Ah, excellent, I'd heard about it, but hadn't applied, because I didn't have any chance of attending the audition dates.Ian Volante wrote:There's a new quiz coming up next year with our old friend CJ - anyone one else applied for it? It is, and it's hosted by Jezza Vine. It's a team format to build up a pot of money before the end game where we try to win it against CJ. Something like that anyway, I can't really give much away. I'm expecting low question density, but hey-ho, can't complain, should be fun!Matt Morrison wrote:Is that the actual title? Assume it's BBC to get away with that. More details please.
Me. Already filmed but don't know the airdate yet.Ian Volante wrote:There's a new quiz coming up next year with our old friend CJ - anyone one else applied for it? I'm filming early next year, will mention any broadcast info when I have it.
Come on James! Which show?James Robinson wrote:Ah, excellent, I'd heard about it, but hadn't applied, because I didn't have any chance of attending the audition dates.Ian Volante wrote:There's a new quiz coming up next year with our old friend CJ - anyone one else applied for it? But, I have got an audition early next year for another show. More on that if I get through.
Nice one, I did hear of a couple of December filming dates.Karen Pearson wrote:Me. I have an audition for the revival of 15-To-1 on January 20.Karen Pearson wrote:Come on James! Great news about the return of 15-To-1 James, good luck, will it be a regular series and what will the time slot be?James Robinson wrote:I have an audition for the revival of 15-To-1 on January 20.
Definitely can't wait for that, they've also just announced that the top prize for that will be £40,000. (Definitely better than an Ancient Greek vase, etc. )
It's going to be a regular series, but of just 20 episodes, Sandi Toksvig will host these, while Adam Hills hosts 4 celebrity specials.Jojo Apollo wrote:Great news about the return of 15-To-1 James, good luck, will it be a regular series and what will the time slot be?James Robinson wrote:I have an audition for the revival of 15-To-1 on January 20.

If only to show that Eggheads do have Personality.Jojo Apollo wrote:It's not bad, it would be better if they let the other Eggheads each have a turn though.
Karen's episode was on tonight.Karen Pearson wrote:Me. Already filmed but don't know the airdate yet.
You did well there, Karen. You're right, there were some nasty ones in there, although judging by the different panel lights and the different camera angles, it must've been one of the first episodes, so probably everyone was a bit unknown in terms of what to expect.Karen Pearson wrote:Thanks Ryan. Some tough questions all round. Actually I was nowhere near as good as Jeremy Vine was making out.
The production team made a big deal of telling us we had limited time to build the cash pot and it caught a couple of people out. In the rules though it clearly said that every team would have the opportunity to answer the same number of questions - so there was no need to hurry at all.
Oh, and I'd never heard of Arrested Development!
It was her debut today on Eggheads.James Robinson wrote:Anyone watch tonight's edition
That Lisa is actually going to be the newest Egghead, because Daphne has retired, and CJ will return to Eggheads too, so there will be 8 of them too.
