We have another new champion in Russell Secker. He beat a good champ in Sarah, can he become a good champ himself?

Re: Spoilers for Wednesday November 13th 2013 (S69 P91)
Simon Whiteley is going well and suddenly I like him more when he picks the T (for Tony) selection...
SPHEROID was a good spot by Russell, unlucky he mis-declared it.

I thought Simon was fishing for the E to make COTERIES, but I suspect he was looking for a U as it was Russell that got it.

Alt 1st numbers: (((2+4)x2)+1) x 25 + 10 = 335
I might have missed something here but is there a word for the solution to a '1 large' numbers game which is made by 'simply' multiplying the large number by a certain number[s], and adding or subtracting a certain number[s]? In other words a solution that does not involve adding or subtracting anything to the large number first, or indeed without using the large number at all. Like the above solution in other words
