Well then the gest is boring, you should have something interesting in it. For example, we had to write about what we watched on TV, and in my Countdown paragraph I mentioned the recent JH/EM final. My French teacher annotated it saying, 'I saw the final too.'

Evening everyone

Last-minute call to see if anyone can bring along an ODE and/or a copy of the Countdown board game to COLIN on Saturday. If anyone is willing to provide a windows-powered laptop as well, I'll be more than happy to repay with drinks at the pub afterwards. :)

I'll bring all 3 but my laptop needs constant plugging, as it's battery is mega crap. It literally runs for just about 5 minutes, with no power lead.

Phenomenal day. Thanks again, Ben.

Thirlled with 2nd place. Only expected to be probably just in the top 5, so 2nd was mega awesome.

No shame in losing to Kirk on a crucial either.

Will bring up photos and recaps after the Terriers win at Arsenal tomorrow. ;) :) :D

I feel so stupid, I noticed Joseph's sister was there but didn't once think it was you.

Very well-run and fun tournament as usual Ben. I finished 6th (my best ever for a CO-event), which I'm proud of, but props to Rob Foster for 4th place on your debut. Even if I'm still sour about that conundrum

A brilliant day and possibly the best COLIN ever. (Don't we say that every year?) Everything seemed to go really smoothly, so due credit to Ben. And many thanks to Gill for providing what can only be described as a remarkable value-for-money lunch - and very tasty into the bargain. If I'd known there was more crumble for coming first, I might have practised harder. :) Well done to all those who took home prizes and it was great to meet everyone (again) and finally put a face to Gevin's name!

haha - Charlie, is there some history between you and Stewart Gordon? Cos, like, someone coming to that with no prior knowledge would probably say it's not him being the utter dick. Just saying.
Um, would they? You're not approaching this with no prior knowledge, you're approaching it with an insatiable desire to score points off me. So good work on that front, I guess. Stewart spent the run up Ben's last event demanding that Ben perform some completely non-urgent piece of administrative busywork, and always phrased in the most condescending possible manner, which is particularly jarring when it comes from someone who's never organised a single real or virtual event ever. Ben of course is too nice to tell him to stop being such a dick, but I'm quite happy to.
I've met him now. One word - tolerance. Yep.
