Spoilers For Monday October 4th 2010

Post by James Robinson »

Welcome to the 13th week of Countdown: Series 63. This series is already shaping up to be a really exciting one and now with places starting to be filled, are we in for any more octochamps in the near future :?:

Michael Chadwick is in the champions' chair after deposing of Heather Driver on Friday. Will he join Eoin & Daniel (that's confirmed, by the way) in the finals. A bit early to say, but maybe a good performance today could silence the doubters.

Back in DC for his 2nd stint is Jeff's co-Soccer Saturday summariser and Southampton F.C. legend (so will go down well in the Corby household), Matt Le Tissier.

Ryan will be recapping later. ;) :) :D

"I'll go 1 large and 5 small please, Rachel"
"Thanks, Michael"
"Thanks"

I love exchanges like that.

I think you mean Round 6, Liam. Round 5 is a numbers game.

Nice gentle game today. Good to see Phill return as well. Bit of shame that he lost again.

Was on for a max game until missing LOUSEWORT at Round 13. :x

If Jeff had added the F to UNDIES, there'd have been FUNDIES in Round 3.

BUNION and NOUNAL in round 8.

Really wanted a P at the end of round 6 because my mum shouted out PSEUDONYM after 8 letters and she usually gets words that weren't there.

In round 2, I was convinced I had "batshit" as in "batshit insane". Surprised it isn't in.

Unlucky. I believe this will be valid from next series, along with SHITSTORM, ASSHAT and ASSLOAD, although JACKSHIT is on the way out.

Shame we won't get to see it for want of vowels, but I await the day when the conundrum is "RIMSHOTTS". :-)

Wow, that's a nice shuffle. Should've kept that one for a special occasion!

I don't think I've ever heard anyone say "batshit insane". Is it just me?

No, it describes anyone who's totally mental.

Google Instant (TM) suggests "batshit insane" and "batshit crazy" when you type "batshit" and they both turn up a lot of results, so they definitely have currency. I've heard it a lot although it's mainly an American phrase as far as I know.
