Goatblitz 2010 - Round 4

Post by Kai Laddiman »

Only 1 game went unplayed:

Tom Rowell vs Ryan Taylor

Again, this is temporarily 0-0. Tom, where are you?

Round 4 pairings are available here (scroll down to see the current standings).

Division B:

Adam Gillard 104 - 59 Jim Bentley

I made a nice start, including a pencil for MADERISED in the first round, and ended up with a 40 point lead after the second conundrum. Jim then spotted an 8 just too late from this selection: KISOLATED (he had ISOL typed). It was a comfortable win for me despite Jim getting 2 of the 3 conundrums.

Adam Gillard 123 - 52 Jim Bentley

This one started off much closer, but I pulled away towards the end with ACTUARIES and some conundrums.

Thanks for the games Jim.

When suits best Jon? I don't get home til about 4 and have homework and stuff to do after. Best time for me would be after 8 most nights.

Oh, and before Robert Baxter says it, this is my 900th post.

Btw, me and Tom played yesterday but we have both been too idle to post the scores. So before I forget:

Ryan 81 - 46 Tom

Ryan 73 - 57 Tom

A very chilled out couple of games (as can be seen by our dodgy declarations and poor picking) with the main focus being on our love for cheese. If we'd concentrated more and taken the thing seriously then we would put everybody elses games to shame.

Grrr, I set this to sticky for 7 days, but oh well.

Still two games to go:

Eoin Monaghan vs Jon O'Neill
Ryan Taylor vs Ben Hunter

Sorry about the lack of notice.

The game between Eoin and myself is dependent on the Gaelic football. Should be tonight or tomorrow. Sorry.

Yup, was away from 10 to 9 yesterday, am off all day so there's a small chance Jon and I can play but if not, we've agreed on a draw.
