Spoilers For Thursday July 22nd 2010

Post by James Robinson »

Thursday has arrived and David O'Flanagan remains in the chair after the very close game yesterday. The numbers games seem to have helped him cross the line in both of his games so far, but for how long will his luck last :?:

I'll be around later with part 2 of this week's Robinson Recap double bill, which will also be my last for a few weeks, owing to the horse racing. :x :(

Oh well.

I'm excited about today's episode as someone I have known for a long time is the challenger. He is also an apterite. I will say no more.

Dude, "Heather Badcock, Konstadinos Sfyris and 67 other guests" attending suggests you really don't need to say any more.

Some people don't have facebook and some people, like James, were clearly unaware.

I love it how you're desperate to know even though it'll be on in an hour. I think you can wait.

Yeah, it's on in an hour for those of you who have a TV in your vicinity, but for me, I have to wait until at least 6pm, probably nearer 7pm, before I can watch it, so the word torture springs to mind. :x

You must be thinking of In-patient Cunts, which I believe is a regular fixture on one of the weird medical channels my sister loves to watch.

Nice one Tom. Disposed of a solid competitor with consummate ease. Good luck for the next 7. Hopefully the blue shirt will be on tomorrow's show :)

Nice solid performance, Tom, well done. Just remember to write down your numbers solution. Oh, and don't forget to look for the buzzer [/sudbery].

Did you not know what happens Kirk? Expected you to have been in the audience, no?

Yep, a convincing win, well done mate. I expected you to be more nervous. Keep it up (retrospectively).

You blouse, you were about 8000 points ahead haha! Ah well - here's to plenty more opportunities to declare rude words in the rest of your games...

Did anyone get 1st numbers game? I'm not good at maths, but think this may be right:

9-5 = 4 x 8 = 32 x 10 = 320 + 6 = 326 x 3 = 978

Not sure if this right though, or if I copied the numbers down right. Think it was 5, 3, 10, 6, 8 & 9 (target 978)

That's what Rachel did, Helen.

A convincing debut, Tom; well played. :)

(5-3)*(6*8*10-9) = 978 as an alternative method for R4.

WTG Tom, delighted you won, was really rooting for you (hadn't warmed much to your opponent over the last few days)
I clean forgot you were on today so it was a pleasant surprise!

(BTW I still can't see the 'really easy' 979 that Jeff (and presumably you Tom?) had)

On the basis that if I can get it in time it must be easy:
((6+5) x 9 x 10) - (8 + 3) = 979

Fair point, but looking at it as (11 x 9 x 10) - 11, all the numbers are obvious, hence Jeff's offer of his "really easy" 979, I guess. It was worth it for Rachel's put-down.

Was that when she said "You're a cunt Jeff. I'm going to kill you"?
