Next time I'm drinking whilst watching a BBC game, I'm going to play the Lawro drinking game - you drink every time Lawro whines about something (might make it a bit more bearable).

Srsly though, watching this Spain game and it's like fucking Eeyore in the background.

yes, that's right, fucking Eeyore, like sex, you pervert

See earlier post by me about the fucking BBC's coverage. I used to think Pearce was a cunt, but fuck me he's a stand-up bloke when he commentates next to Lawro. ITV covered the 0-0 between Japan and Paraguay earlier, and were at pains to avoid saying "this is a bit boring", instead discussing why the teams were set out as they were, and trying to convey what was at stake and that it was hugely historic for whichever nation won through, and that they were worthy of respect. Imagine the same game being covered by Lawro, the fucking cunt.

I can't fucking stand him. I always thought he was shit as a bag full of shit on MOTD just doing the after-match stuff and can't understand why he seems to commentating on all the BBC's games. Surely they can get someone better? Probably sucked some BBC executive's cock, the fucking cunt.

Don't know if anyone else has noticed this but when he says "yeah" it sounds like he has just removed a cock from his mouth.

Loving it. I've got Holland in the Sure sweepstake, so that's another £10 :) Now all I need is Paraguay (my other team) to beat Spain and then Argentina/Germany, and I'll be rolling in it.

What price, another all European final.
Hopefully Holland v Spain, so we are guaranteed a new winner.
Then Maybe FIFA will arrange a World Cup winners knockout tournament (as there will be 8 different winners)

I predict a Holland vs Ghana and Spain vs Germany semi final round. With Holland and Germany advancing.

But, like most things, I usually get it hopelessly wrong!

5.9 for Holland/Germany
3.3 for Holland/Spain

I'm quite tempted by 4.2 for Holland/Argentina.

Although then we get into a debate about whether you count Uruguay as the Switzerland of Europe, which complicates matters.

This is true World Cup!

Suarez gets sent off and has kept Uruguay in it. Hero if they win? Handball on the line.

What a game!
You have to feel the utmost sympathy for Gyan if Ghana lose.

Come on Ghana!

I am flying out to South Africa tomorrow to shoot Suarez.

He has got them to the semi-finals by cheating. He should be banned for the rest of the tournament, should Uruguay get to the final. Yes, I know if he hadn't have done it they would have lost, but it's Ghana! Everyone loves Ghana! I really sympathise with Gyan, for he has been one of the tournament's best players. I hope Holland batter the Uruguayans.

I still like you Ryan.

Argentina have no midfield and are moving the ball too slowly into tight spaces, they need to sort themselves out quick or this could be a hammering

So much for it being the South American World Cup :!:

Interestingly, since 1962, the winners of the World Cup have alternated between Europe & South America every time.

62 - Brazil
66 - England
70 - Brazil
74 - West Germany
78 - Argentina
82 - Italy
86 - Argentina
90 - West Germany
94 - Brazil
98 - France
02 - Brazil
06 - Italy

So, based on that we should have another South Amrerican winner this time, but it looks like the chances of that are fading rapidly now.

I remember being told that England would win in 1998 based on the symmetry around 1982.

Haha, I wondered this at the time too. Damn those violent South African police I hear so much about.

Also ffs Germany.

Edit: World Cup final drinking game anyone? So far I've got drink whenever Lawro complains about something, and whenever he tries to make a 'joke'.

Lawro's "Good." at the announcement of 'just' one minute of stoppage time haha. Mind you, they were both suggesting it's been shit, and I'm enjoying it, really appreciate the tension. Maybe it's just cos I've got money on Germany, who knows. Penalty, by the way.

Lawrenson is such a twat, don't care who wins as long as its by a goal, i'm thoroughly enjoying it, Spain look so dodgy against the break and at corners, but can open up the Germans if they were more decisive

Had to come to PC to make note of those Lawro moments just then quickly.

On Capdevila not playing for Real or Barca:
ML: "That's cos he's no good"
Other Dude: "You can say that"
ML: "Just did."

And then the bit where something had clearly happened off-microphone and Lawro was unprofessional enough to bring it up, completely without context for us viewers:
ML: "You alright?"
OD: "I'm fine. Thanks for asking."
