(75-1) x 10 - 3 x 4 seems a little better than Carol's

How did she do it? (I went the 720 + ((1+1) x 4) route)

Carol's method was the same as yours. Getting 720 from (75 - 3) x 10

Very well done to Tony. That was a brilliant spot with DEPILATES.
EDIT: Don't they normally show who is the 8 seeds?

Yeah DEPILATES was a word worthy of winning a game. I couldn't beat DC in any round, some equallers such as RETRAIN, BOLERO and ANNEALS, nothing better.
Martin
If you cut a gandiseeg in half, do you get two gandiseegs or two halves of a gandiseeg?

Did anyone spot BOREHOLE in the earlier rounds? Only one quarter finallist got this in the green room. No guessing who

Looks like I got my BONER in the same round as David got his BOREHOLE. No connection, I hope.

Heck... for the first time in five or six years, I get to post beaters which nobody else (seemingly) has got! Like going back to the old days, a time when there were no recaps, no CountMax, no Beevers etc. ... am very nostalgic
MARASMIC in round 2, and POTENCES in round 3 (I got BOREHOLE as well, but missed NOVENAS/ANNEALS in round 12).
Interestingly, CountMax doesn't list POTENCES, but it's definitely allowable.

Michael MacDonald-Cooper got POTENCES and as I was Susie, I had the dictionary, I deemed it fine.
