1. install http://www.pokerstars.com/PokerStarsInstall.exe
2. sign up
3. deposit some cashish
4. once loaded, go to Tourney > Private and then sort the tournaments by name and look for "C4C"

I think it's a case of the more the merrier, at least for Hulme for whom it is an extra ten bucks (or $5 in the Omaha).

Enjoyable games - thanks to Andrew for organising and everyone else for playing.
If this happens again can I suggest the Omaha be played before/after the Holdem? Things got a bit painful when both games were short-handed!

Yes, enjoyed that a lot more than I expected (I was kinda planning to go all-in early and get knocked out for giggles, but it seems Jimmy beat me to that idea). Well done Andrew, much appreciated.

Likewise, thanks very much Andrew and congrats to Phil and Jimmy! Well played lads; tough table.
Mental note: don't limp into Reamsy or Ian.
Mental note addendum: fold every hand Phil plays.

I'd be up for one of these in the future. The only reason I didn't get involved in this one was because I didn't understand what $10+1 meant (or, rather, I thought I did, but it turns out I didn't).

Re: C4C Poker Tourneys on Pokerstars
Cheers guys - to be fair, once I'd snagged a reasonable chip lead, I played very solidly and ran increasingly hot.
And at one point just after the tables had merged, I was running scared; there were a few consecutive hands played exclusively amongst the chip leaders. Included in this was an all-in from Charlie - worth over half the total stack - when I'd rivered a queen-high flush. Not sure if I correctly sniffed out a full house, but there was some massive action either way.
Thanks to Andrew in particular for getting it sorted. I hear enough about his poker exploits and it was a very proud moment for me when I knocked him out.

Be good to arrange a 6-man STT round here as well over the next couple of weeks.

Yeah we'll work out a date we can all do here, and what tournaments we want to play, all those details, then I guess I set it up, you can register at any time and then you turn up when it's on.
Yeah real money but not a lot so it's accessible for everyone.
We can play cash games too after the tourney(s) if people are interested.

A tourney is generally a knock-out-style event, a cash game is an ongoing game where each hand is a one-off - people can dip in and out of cash games as they want.Ryan Taylor wrote: How is this different from just playing tourneys? More money?

Ah right cheers Ian. So these would be the ones where a lot of money could be lost. I'll stick to the fixed entry tourney ones.Matt Morrison wrote:And top the fuck up with a fresh stack when I beat yo ass.Ian Volante wrote:A tourney is generally a knock-out-style event, a cash game is an ongoing game where each hand is a one-off - people can dip in and out of cash games as they want.Ryan Taylor wrote: How is this different from just playing tourneys? All depends on what stakes Jono chooses to run I guess. You have to try hard to lose lots of money at, say, $0.01/0.02 blinds. I'm sure he'll take your gambling history into account and do something fair.Ryan Taylor wrote:So these would be the ones where a lot of money could be lost. Yeah, it won't be me choosing it, it will be a team decision, and I can't afford all that much more than this anyways.. But if people want to play bigger later, I imagine it's easy to arrange using the Home Games interface.Matt Morrison wrote:All depends on what stakes Jono chooses to run I guess. I'll stick to the fixed entry tourney ones.

Yeah right you are. had to log in to the client though, i was just going on the emails I got. Installed PokerStars on Lizzie's laptop. Saying that, I recognised the name and approved it and now he's a member I can't see his name again, and i've forgotten it.

For what it's worth, I'm probably only interested in a hold 'em tourney style game (I dunno what you cool kids call them, basically where everyone pays ten dollar or whatever and the top three get rich).

Plenty of people in already, and still many from the OP who haven't joined. Looking good!

Sound. Got an email saying there was a game scheduled for the 2nd but the email arrived on the 3rd. Thought I might have missed something. I assume dates and times are US. What's that, -5 hours? Looking forward to see you all at the table, decorating the mahogany.
