Forumites/Apteroids You'd Like Too See On The Show
Don't worry, this isn't a follow up to the reappearance thread, but one a bit similar to Alec's thread in the off topic section.
A poll to ask out of the main forumers/apteroids that haven't been on the show, who would you most like to see?
You can select upto 3 options, give as much of little reasoning as you like and feel free to suggest people I have missed.

Don't know whether to be offended that I'm not on the list, or relieved at thus depriving Douglas an opportunity to misspell my name like he has with half the others, not to mention the title of the thread.

Jason Larsen for comedy value, Jack Hurst because he would be entertaining as well as amazingly good, and Ian Dent for being, well, Ian Dent.

Phil and Matt Morrison are obvious misses so sorry for that.
Is this not the same Michael Wallace that posts on here: http://wiki.apterous.org/Michael_Wallace.
I don't play on apterous but I've just looked at the ratings and Dale is 9th, Eoin 10th and Jack 18th, are any of these applying for series 62 or are they all dreaming of becoming the best Countdown player bar none with another year or two on apterous.
Looking at the ratings there are a good number of players around Jeffery and Ryan's standard that havn't been on so quality wise Countdown should be in good shape for a few years to come.

Re: Forumites/Apteroids You'd Like Too See On The Show
But anyway, I think there may be people who know exactly who goes by what name, but I'm not one of these, although I have suspicions about some of them. I've heard people suggesting that Damian may be Scott Phillips, which could be the case. But someone said that Jeremy Bentham was Damian, so I dunno. But then again Jeremy Bentham seems a bit of a numbers expert and sounds a bit like Junaid Mubeen (sort of). I thought the same lettered first and surname of Maria Martin could belong to Rachel Riley and as for Susan Morton - I dunno. Maybe Susan = Susie (Dent).
Edit - This thread has dropped off the top page now so no-one will read this and I won't get told off. I can't access Apterous now because it's down, but I don't think Maria Martin has played for ages. Maybe she thought it was too obvious, so Jeremy Bentham was a replacement name for that.
Edit 2 - Turns out that they've played each other several times, and various other things that I can't be bothered to mention. The theory is not backed up by the evidence.

Does it therefore follow that you are one, or possibly all, of Gail Cooper, Gordon Cross, Gordon Carrington, Gail Cattermole, Gino Corr, Graham Cross, Glyn Chidley, Genevieve Chan, Gwen Clark, Geraldine Curran, Gordon Cusworth, Ginny Clark, Geoff Clarke, Gillian Clements, Gill Cook, Gloria Crossley, Gary Cook and Gerald Conley?Gavin Chipper wrote:But anyway, I think there may be people who know exactly who goes by what name, but I'm not one of these, although I have suspicions about some of them. I'd like to know how long it took you to compile that list. Re: Forumites/Apteroids You'd Like Too See On The Show
The ppl from the show are clearly already so scared of us that they have to use false names, so If people like you post stuff on here about suspecting who is who, it will probably scare them off all together, and that would be rubbish. So in my politest manner, I'd like to tell you to shut up.Gavin Chipper wrote:But anyway, I think there may be people who know exactly who goes by what name, but I'm not one of these, although I have suspicions about some of them. But yes, I think we can safely assume many member's of the show's crew play on apterous under assumed names. I too am on there under an assumed name, my pseudonym is 'Richard Brittain'.

Alec, in case it hasn't sunk in yet: for reasons known only to himself, and despite cajoling, criticism and enticement, Jason refuses point blank to use the QUOTE button when replying to posts. As a result, most of us are completely in the dark most of the time as to what Jason is talking about. I don't think it's a case of being scared, its more to do with the desire to play the game without being interrogated over every aspect of the show inbetween each round.

For fucks sake, eventhough quite a few people have taken issues with the spelling and omissions; this was meant to be a serious thread that I hoped would formulate some good discussion.
I can see how you have so many posts Jason, if you think cottage cheese is relevant in this topic.

Wow, would like to know who other than Ian thinks that I'd make good tv. (Ian told me he voted for me)
My votes were for KC, to see one of his insane numbers solutions; Eoin because he's probably the best player on the list and Julie (not a relation of Ryan) Taylor because I slightly insulted her on aptochat the other day whilst bantering with Ian and because the show needs some female players who would have a realistic chance of winning a few games.
