I spoke to him after the match. He said he thought that 12 x 75 was 875, not 900, he had no clue until Rachel and I explained that he could have reached the 857 by the way you suggested.

I spoke to David afterwards as well, very nice guy. He originally thought I was the challenger on the first show the next day! Of course if David had carried on in the first numbers he could've said (9-2) x 6 = 42 + 875 = 917

Nice show today. Some great spots, good close contest, two guys looking chuffed to be there, applauding each other's winners etc. Jeff, Rachel, Susie all on top of their game, always like John Inverdale. Really great stuff.

Just got back from the pub and watched it again. Can't believe how old I look on TV! I was more nervous about watching it with mates than at the recording, and I dont' remember Rachel wearing that tight short dress, which indicates how stressed I was!
