I just beat apterous rex to a conundrum in 0.1 seconds

Could you define perfect picking? I'm confused as you missed the max in two consecutive rounds.
The max = metamax.Jon O'Neill wrote: Could you define perfect picking? I'm confused as you missed the max in two consecutive rounds.
Well done Dinos, I didnt look at the numbers, but you certainly pulled out some great words in the letters rounds! Great performance.Dinos Sfyris wrote:A long time in the making. My first max gamehttp://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=116700
Almost had a heart attack when I nearly left ESOTERIC mistyped as my keyboard was playing up! So I decided to take my time typing in the conundrum but luckily it was the easiest scramble in history. Ever.
I'm glad you said that because me and a few of the others were just saying how some of your max games were actually pretty shit.Kirk Bevins wrote:Probably my best max game yet

Fitting round 13 word.Darren Carter wrote:http://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=117262
Pretty rubbish until the nice little comeback at the end.
That's pretty cool, maybe I'll give it a try. I'm amused that Martin Gardner is ranked #3 despite being a fluent speaker and rather an expert in French Scrabble (using the same dictionary).Julie T wrote:I dare say that my being second in the rankings after Innis won't last long now that I've made it known, but I decided to play a few games using the French dictionary version.

Although, not being fluent, I only get mainly 4 or 5 letter words, with sometimes 6, and less frequently 7, since there are only 3 other players apart from Prune (and I've been playing Prune!), I'm second (out of 5!).
I was rather please to get a conundrum once, although it was rather a guess. Means SLIDE apparently.

The statistics are rather skewed, I suppose, because there are only a few games played.Charlie Reams wrote: That's pretty cool, maybe I'll give it a try. I'm amused that Martin Gardner is ranked #3 despite being a fluent speaker and rather an expert in French Scrabble (using the same dictionary).
Haha cheers for that although I reckon you'll probably manage to put quite a few victories past me as you're not too bad yourself, particularly at 4 largeKieran Child wrote:Part of me didn't wanna post this cos it might rub it into him, but the other part of me thought, the fact that I'm posting this shows that I think he's amazing.
I beat Dinos Sfyris![]()

Not only that but we declared the same thing in 7 rounds so I'd like to think my train of thought is one with a master's.
I wonder if that's more or less tragic and pointless than this. I reckon we're about tied.Richard Brittain wrote:Wow, look at that new record.
Wow, that record actually is unbeatable; impressive. Mine and Ben's record is certainly beatable, but it's probably only worth breaking if someone is really going to raise the bar to a new level, and post a score of around 650. I'm actually hoping that this will become a new sport on Apterous, a subsidiary activity almost as popular as playing the normal game. It requires discipline, focus, and patience, mental endurance; a willingness to keep going, to keep pushing at the task even when it seems pointless and tedious, which it is. It also encourages mutual respect and team co-operation between opponents. I'm hoping that eventually a Usain Bolt will come along and just really decimate the previous records and bring the game into new areas which were previously unimaginable.Charlie Reams wrote:I wonder if that's more or less tragic and pointless than this. I think POMITIZED could be the new GANDISEEG.Ben Hunter wrote:The game that held the previous tie-break record is hilarious: http://apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=23318
No offence to Tom (I did check before making this comment; he hasn't played since June) but I love the way you can just imagine Nude taking a big breath, sighing, and then going "fiiiiiine" before it finally decides to answer one and put him out of his misery.Ben Hunter wrote:The game that held the previous tie-break record is hilarious: http://apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=23318

I know what you mean Michael, I cant think of any human player on apterous who would miss ISPAGHUL, apart from Innis.Michael Wallace wrote:What's so impressive about beating Prune? He didn't even have any allowed words. Rubbish.
I think he may have been taking the piss bro. (Also that's his excuse any time he says something stupid.)JackHurst wrote:I know what you mean Michael, I cant think of any human player on apterous who would miss ISPAGHUL, apart from Innis.Michael Wallace wrote:What's so impressive about beating Prune?
